As a professional photographer that specializes in capturing children, I’m used to interacting with children to really capture both the essence of the surroundings and their individual personalities. Here are some simple tips to help transform your photos from good to great and give you the confidence to be creative while taking your holiday photos this year. 1. Always Be Prepared: Keep your camera on-hand, batteries charged, memory available. Some of the best picture taking moments come when you least expect them.  One of our favorite holiday activities is the cookie exchange. Here’s a delicious and healthy oatmeal cookie recipe created by our social media editor Trina O'Boyle. OATMEAL COOKIES (use all organic ingredients)
- ½ cup of butter at room temperature
- 1 ½ cups of Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. of baking powder
- ¼ tsp. of baking soda
- 1 tsp. of cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups of Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 container of HAPPYBELLIES Oatmeal Cereal
- 8 oz of unsweetened Applesauce
- 21 tsp of vanilla
- ¼ cup of water
- Optional Green and red sprinkles for the top
of each cookie
Directions In a large bowl combine whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar, HB Oatmeal, and cinnamon. In a large mixing cup combine ¼ water, applesauce, vanilla and eggs and then mix well and pour on top of the dry mixture. Add the butter then with a mixer combine all ingredients until it’s moist. On a baking pan spoon out oatmeal cookie dough and make into balls. After you have placed 12 balls on the cookie sheet, press each one down then add sprinkles if you want to me more festive. Cook at 350 for about 13 minutes or until done. Yield: 3 dozen cookies **Cookies can be made ahead and placed in the freezer until you want to serve them. NEED A GIFT …  Decorate the empty HAPPYBELLIES canisters and fill them with oatmeal cookies.
