Do you sneeze every time you walk by a candle store? Do you ever wonder what is in a scented candle? Well, after doing massive research I decided that in an effort to reduce the number of chemicals floating around my home, I stopped purchasing household necessities that contained artificial fragrances. Gone were the scented soaps, lotions, candles, cleaners. Everything switched to unscented, and I feel my life is better for it.

 
Too Much Trash!

When I look outside my Chicago apartment on Sunday mornings after a weekend’s worth of festivities, the corner garbage cans are overflowing.  I suppose I should be grateful that the trash is properly disposed of rather than landing on the sidewalk, but I wince every time I pass a can.  Does all that trash really need to be created in the first place?
