Kids love the independence of being dropped off for parties and playdates, and parents appreciate the shared responsibility of looking after each others’ children. Over the course of time, many parents wind up hosting dozens of different kids that they are responsible for. A recent study found that 1 out of 13 US kids has a food allergy. There is a good chance that you will be taking care of a child with a food allergy at some point. Having an awareness and understanding can make hosting a child with food allergies a very feasible and rewarding experience that can mean so much to a child who wants to be included.

May is the month for moms! We have some amazing women a part of the Happy Family team that we think of as Hero's. Our hero's go above and beyond spreading the Happy Family mission of living a happy and healthy life.Our HappyMama's work with organizations throughout their local communities to educate parents about keeping their families healthy by feeding them nutritious organic foods. Each day throughout May we will showcase a HappyMama and how we feel they are Hero Moms to us.

Doing upcycling projects with your kids demonstrates recycling on a whole new level. Instead of sorting recyclables from the trash into special bins where a big truck takes it away to some magical land, your kids can actually see something transform right in front of their eyes. Instead of learning that something useless should be thrown “away,” here they can use their imagination to envision it as something else.
