There are many types of things you can do to find the type of support you might need. Call up everyone from your prenatal class and organize a weekly get-together. You can bet that most of the other moms will jump at the chance for such support. Another good resource is La Leche League, an international group of moms who have monthly meetings to offer breast-feeding education and support. Search their website www.llli.org to find a group in your area. Being a mother is the hardest and most confusing job I ever had. When I first became a mom I had all the insecurities that everyone has; will I know when they are sick, how much should I feed him, when is it OK to let him cry, is he progressing the way he should for that certain age. When I had my second child we had just moved to the Philadelphia area. We were living in a new city, and I decided to stay home with my boys so it made it extra hard to meet new friends. After spending the summer alone, going crazy (literally) I decided to be proactive and find a new network of friends, so I started looking into Moms Groups in my area.
