Shauna joined HAPPYFAMILY in July 2010, after graduating in May 2010 from Columbia Business School, where she focused her studies and activities on finance and social enterprise. She managed the Social Enterprise Summer Fellowship, which raised more than $100,000 in funds to support MBAs working in non-profit, public sector, and social enterprises, and was the Finance VP for the Social Enterprise Club.
Prior to attending graduate school, Shauna worked for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, first as Chief of Staff of the Department and then as Capital Budget Director for the multi-billion-dollar annual water supply and wastewater engineering program. Before joining DEP, Shauna worked in fund-raising for The After-School Corporation, a NYC-based non-profit working to expand access to quality after-school programming for public school students. She graduated Columbia College in 1997 with a degree in Urban Studies with a concentration in Economics. She loves New York City, long novels, and movies in which things blow up.
