Shazi Visram: Founder and CEO

BioShaziShazi first created her vision for convenient, healthy meals for babies and children as she listened with a compassionate ear to a friend's anguish about the difficulty of finding the time to make her own baby food between caring for her baby, keeping up with her work, and all of the other demands of her very full life. In that instant, HAPPYBABY was born.

 
Jessica Rolph: Founding Partner and COO

Jessica is passionate about the intersection of business and social responsibility. When Jessica first connected with Shazi, she was inspired by Shazi’s vision to create a socially responsible business by giving babies the best start in life with fresh, organic food. Jessica has long dreamed of helping to create a business venture that positively impacts people's lives.

 
Helen Bernstein: Director of Marketing
Helen BernsteinHelen joined HAPPYBABY at the beginning of 2006. She has spent over 20 years in marketing, promotion and sales development. Helen was Marketing & Promotion Director of TIME Atlantic, based in London, with responsibility for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She worked on the start-up of Discover magazine and organized and directed TIME's custom publishing creative services group. Helen handled TIME's Statue of Liberty Bicentennial sponsorship and its Olympic sponsorships internationally.
 
Amy Marlow, MPH, RD, CDN: Nutrition Advisor
Amy Marlow, MPH, RD, CDNAmy is a registered dietitian (RD) and New York State certified nutritionist. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware and completed her dietetics training at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. She also has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland.
 
Steve Mesia: Director of Quality Assurance

Steve MesiaSourcing the highest quality organic ingredients for HAPPYBABY meals and overseeing production is the purview of Steve Mesia, Director of Quality Assurance. Steve has spent his entire career in the food industry as a plant manager, Corporate Chemist and Quality Assurance Manager for some of America’s premier food companies including Albertsons and Sara Lee.

 
Bob Zimmerman: VP of National Sales
Bob ZimmermanVP Sales Bob Zimmerman joined HAPPYBABY from the food industry’s largest broker network, Advantage Sales and Marketing, where he was Department Manager for Client Services. Bob got to know us especially well as Advantage was HAPPYBABY’s main broker, and we are proud that he chose to become part of our team.
 
Mona Sattar: Graphic Designer

Mona SattarMona is HAPPYBABY's in-house designer and works on all sorts of
fun projects, including our acclaimed newsletter, webstore, packaging, numerous display materials, and much more. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a bachelor’s degree in fine art and art history. A creative force with an insatiable desire to learn more, she then went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Graphic Communications from Pratt Institute.

 
John Tansey: Operations
John TanseyJohn joined the HAPPYFAMILY team in May 2010 with a background in process design, operations management, and project management. He developed acumen for continuous improvement and work flow management in the heavy civil construction industry.
 
Natalie Allen: Senior Operations Manager

Natalie AllenNatalie joined the HAPPYFAMILY team in April 2009 after working in
a buyer role at Target. Prior to relocating to the Twin Cities, Natalie graduated with her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Operations and Marketing. She has previously held positions in brand management, product development, and public relations.

 

 
Julie Scharnhorst: Operations and Sustainability Manager
BioJulieJulie joined HAPPYFAMILY full-time in June 2010 after spending the past year in Copenhagen, Denmark where she studied at Copenhagen Business School and worked at a consulting firm specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility.
 
Sandy Barnett: Sales Manager

Sandy BarnettSandy holds a B.A. in Political Science from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and an M.S.T. in Early Childhood Education from Pace University in New York, NY. After graduating with honors from Tulane, she joined Teach For America in New York City, where she taught Pre-K in the South Bronx. As a former Pre-K teacher, Sandy understands how crucial the earliest years of Baby’s life are to her physical, social/emotional, and cognitive development. She uses her knowledge base to contibute to all aspects of HAPPYBABY's rapid growth as well.

 
Shauna Grob: Director of Finance

BioShauna Shauna joined HAPPYFAMILY in July 2010, after graduating in May 2010 from Columbia Business School, where she focused her studies and activities on finance and social enterprise. She managed the Social Enterprise Summer Fellowship, which raised more than $100,000 in funds to support MBAs working in non-profit, public sector, and social enterprises, and was the Finance VP for the Social Enterprise Club.

 
Brooke Kilborn: Logistics Manager

Brooke Brooke Kilborn joined HAPPYBABY in September of 2010. She has spent over 10 years in Food Distribution with companies like Food Services of America and Simplot Foods. Brooke was the National Account Representative for Chili's, Applebees, Macaroni Grills and On the Borders in the Idaho, Utah, Oregon Region.
